JOB SUMMARY :
Material Handler / Forklift Operator is responsible for transporting raw materials, components, and finished goods across production and storage areas. The driver ensures timely delivery of materials to support the production process while prioritizing safety and accuracy in handling goods. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment to meet production and inventory needs.
Position Overview
- Material Transportation : Safely operate forklifts to transport raw materials, in-process items, and finished products between production lines, and storage areas.
- Loading and Unloading : Load and unload trucks and production lines, ensuring safe handling and secure stacking of materials.
- Supply Line Maintenance : Ensure production lines have a continuous supply of necessary materials by delivering goods on time, assisting with setup and replenishment as required.
- Quality Control : Inspect materials and products for damage during transport, reporting any defects or issues to supervisors immediately.
- Equipment Maintenance : Perform routine checks on forklifts and report any maintenance needs to prevent equipment downtime and ensure safety compliance.
- Safety Compliance : Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing proper PPE, adhering to load weight limits, and maintaining safe driving practices within the facility.
