Description: Secondary Summer School Guidance Counselor ----- INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY
Job Summary: Summer School Dates: May 27th – June 27th
Times: Daily hours will change based on needs and will not exceed 70 hours.
Planning meetings in the spring
May 5th – May 26th: Hours as needed for registration
May 27th - May 30th: 8AM to 1PM for registration
June 2nd - June 6th : 8AM to 1 PM for registration
June 9th - June 20th: Hours as needed for registration
June 30th – July 3rd: 8AM to 1PM for finalizing credits and AIR Testing
Qualifications: Valid Ohio Department of Education license/certificate in appropriate field
Experience as a High School Guidance Counselor
Experience managing online courses
Understanding of general high school courses, graduation requirements, and summer offerings
Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively and work productively with all levels of district staff, students, parents, and the general public. The incumbent is also required to have effective verbal
and written communication skills and be able to handle problem situations in a tactful, courteous, and respectful manner.
Written and computer skills necessary to maintain required documentation
