Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Loss Prevention Officer to join our security team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in protecting our assets, preventing theft, and ensuring a safe environment for both employees and customers. This position requires a proactive approach to surveillance and conflict management, along with a strong understanding of loss prevention strategies.
Job Duties: As a Retail Loss Prevention Specialist, the employee will be responsible for the following job duties:
- Monitor store operations and use surveillance to detect and deter theft. Conduct inventory audits to identify and investigate discrepancies. Ensure security equipment is operational and coordinate repairs.
- Investigate theft, fraud, and security breaches, prepare detailed reports, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and company policies.
- Develop and deliver training on loss prevention policies and best practices. Implement and enforce these policies, recommending improvements as needed.
- Interact with customers, identify their needs, and recommend solutions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with the customer base that speaks Tamil and Sinhala languages.
- Ensure that the cash register is closed daily and cash is deposited in the bank.
- Direct and supervise the work of store employees and gas station employees.
- Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
- Handle complaints, settle disputes, resolve grievances, and conflicts, and negotiate with others.
Qualifications: High School or less
Experience Required: High School/ 5 yrs exp OR 1 yr exp OR 2 yrs exp
Pay rate: $47,902.00/year for High School/ 5 yrs exp, $69,056.00/year for 1 yr exp, $69,056.00/year for 2 yrs exp (OES industry standards) (Employer will pay or exceed the prevailing wage, as determined by the U.S. Department of Labor)
