Job Overview:
As a Barista at our shop, you will be the face of our brand, delivering exceptional coffee and boba beverages to our customers. You will play an essential role in ensuring that each drink is crafted to perfection and that our customers leave satisfied. In addition to drink preparation, you’ll help create a positive and welcoming atmosphere, contribute to maintaining store cleanliness, and provide excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve specialty coffee, tea, and boba drinks to high standards.
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and answering questions about our menu.
- Maintain knowledge of our menu offerings, including ingredients and preparation methods.
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment in accordance with safety and quality standards.
- Ensure that the shop is clean and well-maintained, including the front of house, workstations, and equipment.
- Handle cash, process payments, and operate the POS system accurately.
- Ensure timely service, especially during busy periods.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up the shop and cleaning at the end of shifts.
- Help with inventory management by reporting low stock and assisting with restocking when necessary.
- Uphold company policies, procedures, and health & safety standards.
- Foster a positive and friendly atmosphere in the shop, contributing to the overall customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Previous barista experience is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Passion for coffee, tea, and boba drinks.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs as required.
