Key Responsibilities:
The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for the growth and health of all owned social media channels, the development of new emerging platforms, and the implementation of strategies that elevate our brand presence, engage our audience, and drive brand awareness, consideration, and conversion. You will own the social media calendar, create content, write captions, and collaborate with external creators to produce engaging posts. Your mission will be to strategically tell the brand and product stories in a social-first manner while actively fostering and engaging the LALICIOUS community.
- Content Scheduling & Posting: Plan and schedule content calendar across platforms, ensuring consistency in tone and timing. Additionally, monitor all social media platforms during off-office hours to ensure timely responses and engagement.
- KPI Definition & Measurement: Define key social media KPIs across all channels to achieve top rankings in relevant metrics. Develop and implement measurement frameworks to track the ROI of social media efforts. Analyze and adjust content strategies based on performance metrics.
- Content Strategy Development: Create social content strategies for campaigns, always-on initiatives, and ad hoc projects to drive growth in reach, sentiment, and engagement, ensuring alignment with product marketing plans. Constantly test new trends and platforms in areas relevant to our target market.
- Influencer & Creator Collaboration: Coordinate with beauty/wellness influencers and content creators to develop partnerships and campaigns that align with our brand values.
- In-House Content Creation: Create custom in-house content for social media platforms, including design, editing, and publishing, to showcase our products, engage our audience, and drive brand awareness.
- Brand Storytelling & Commerce-Driven Content: Balance brand storytelling with commerce-driven content to engage our audience effectively and drive conversions.
- Reporting & Analytics: Define key social media KPIs to achieve top rankings and track ROI. Oversee performance analysis, providing strategic insights and recommendations. Manage analytic tools and compile weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
- Collaboration with Marketing Team: Work closely with marketing team to optimize synergies between paid and organic social media efforts.
- Industry & Platform Monitoring: Stay up to date with industry trends, cultural conversations, new platforms, and best practices.
- Community Management: Monitor and manage all social media channels, responding to comments and messages in a timely and brand-appropriate manner. Build and maintain a positive relationship with our online community. Lead ongoing initiatives to gather community feedback on new product development and existing product input, utilizing polls, IG stories, and other emerging features/trends. Expand community with daily listening, community conversation, monitoring inbound comments and DMs, and engaging with tagged content across all social channels.
Qualifications
Required:
- 1-3 years of experience in a social media role, ideally within a consumer-facing brand.
- Please share a portfolio showcasing your past experience in a social media role. This should include a video featuring you on camera, which can be from previous professional positions or personal creative projects.
- Deep enthusiasm for beauty and wellness topics and emerging trends.
- Must be comfortable creating video content both behind and in front of the camera.
- Strong understanding of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and emerging social platforms, including audience nuances and best practices.
- Deep understanding of social culture, memes, and trends, with a knack for spotting the next big opportunity for our brand.
- Experience with social media management platforms.
- Works well cross-functionally. Collaborator with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and help where needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work in the office five days a week.
