Job Description:
LALO is looking for a Senior Graphic Designer skilled in creating a polished, consistent brand visual identity across a range of mediums. In this role, you will work closely with our co-founder and Creative Director as you own the design and production of a wide variety of branded assets. You’ll collaborate closely with the Brand Marketing, Experiential/Event Marketing, and Commercial Marketing teams. This role requires strong technical design skills, creativity, and the ability to balance priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment, with constantly evolving and shifting needs.
We’re a small, but highly experienced team, with leadership from prominent consumer brands like Jim Beam, YETI, Anheuser-Busch, Waterloo Sparkling Water, and tech companies like Netflix, DoorDash and eBay. You’ll have an opportunity to create work that will be seen in high-visibility spaces and at LALO events around the world. We’re growing very fast but still function with a start-up mentality.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Creative Design
- Develop concepts and production assets for brand creative placements in print and outdoor media.
- Create templates for consistent and rapid content creation internally and with/for external partners.
- Develop creative to support seasonal brand campaigns and select PR initiatives.
- Design a wide variety of custom branded assets as needed to support LALO efforts in the market and online.
Experiential Asset Design:
- Design and execute dinner menus, cocktail menus, invitations and event collateral that brings LALO to life at our owned and sponsored events.
Commercial Marketing Design:
- Create layouts and assets to meet our point-of-sale and retail needs.
- Design monthly email for LALO distributor and account consumption.
Team Collaboration and Workflow:
- Work closely with the Brand Marketing team to ensure a tight production workflow utilizing Monday.com.
- High degree of discipline with respect to naming conventions, folder structure, layer and smart object organization and project management best practices.
Hands-On Design:
- Be willing and ready to design assets, roll up your sleeves, and create work and take direction when and where necessary.
- Sense of team unity, appetite to collaborate on work to get to the best end product possible.
Core Skills and Qualifications
- 8 years of experience in graphic design within an agency and/or brand environment, with a portfolio showcasing work across premium consumer brands. Luxury brand or fashion experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with an emphasis in Photoshop and Premiere, and light After Effects and InDesign.
- Strong understanding of current trends and best practices in creative graphic design.
- Excellent typography and layout skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- A self-starting, entrepreneurial spirit who can work independently, while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams.
