As an Engineering Supervisor for Laboratory Services at Lam, you're a pivotal force in supervising and managing a team of Lab Service Engineers in the efficient operations within our Tualatin Bldg. D applications lab.It's not the typical lab; your team will be hands-on with state-of-the-art equipment performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration. You'll support extends outside of the lab as well managing parts, materials, and budgets for the lab making you an integral part of our technology's success.

In this role, you will contribute to concept and feasibility hardware to enhance current and develop next generation of semiconductor equipment for our customers.

Swing shift schedule (M~F, 3pm to midnight)

• Support efficient laboratory operations including action, process, or treatment utilizing chemical, or physical to conduct experimental research, tests, or demonstrations.
• Oversee a team of Laboratory Service Engineers (LSE) in an R&D environment performing preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, and calibrations on equipment.
• Provide direct management, coaching, mentoring, development, and performance management for LSEs.
• Lead day-to-day lab management and operations including assigning resources, ensuring required parts, materials, chemistry, and wafers are available.
• Support budget management of the lab from budget allocation, purchasing, and inputs into forecasting for future needs.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including facilities, finance, purchasing, and others to keep lab running smoothly.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, with 2-4 years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of technical hardware, software, or systems development functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Semiconductor industry experience or understanding of Lam products is a plus.
• Working knowledge or experience in lab environment, troubleshooting electrical, electro-mechanical, fluidic systems, and vacuum systems.
• Working knowledge of a variety of hand tools and electronic test equipment for maintenance, repair, and assembly tasks.
• Capable of working in a cleanroom environment, wearing personal protective safety equipment, or cleanroom suit.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
