Position Title: Sanitation Associate
Overall Responsibilities:
Overall responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing all equipment in the plant and surrounding areas in compliance with company policy and high standards.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Work with Sanitation Supervisor, Operations & Sales Manager, Plant Manager, and other production and sanitation employees to complete all sanitation tasks within the production and warehouse areas.
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize all equipment using chemicals and return all equipment back to its designated area.
- Read chemical labels to ensure safe applications.
- Complete time of use, daily, weekly, biweekly, and monthly sanitation scheduled responsibilities along with documentation once work is complete.
- Manually scrub certain areas of machines using brushes or scrub pads.
- Light cleaning of coolers; picking up garbage from floor and sweeping with dust mop.
- Disassembling equipment to clean and properly assembling equipment for production team.
- Perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.
- Food Safety: Follow all policies and procedures Lamagna has implemented to assist in safe, quality products at all times.
- May assist in pre-operation inspections.
- Contributes to post-operation inspections including clean up.
- Assists with packaging back up.
- Assists in the warehouse when necessary.

- Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Attributes:
- Lift - be able to lift 50 lbs continuously, stand for 8 hours/day and occasionally twist, bend, climb, grasp, and other repetitive movements.
- General understanding of manufacturing processes and related equipment.
- Ability to make decisions based on standard practices.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Basic understanding of sanitation processes and related equipment.
- Ability to run sanitation equipment.
- Ability to read, comprehend and communicate safety labels on chemical containers.
- Flexible to various creamery environments including sanitation, unloading, making, packaging, and shipping.
- Annually complete all trainings within Lamagna Training Matrix.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
