Testing Coordinator
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Primary Purpose: Responsible to the principal for coordinating and administering various campus assessment activities and programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Instructional Management
- Provide constructive feedback on the effectiveness of the instructional program based on assessment data.
- Assist with supplemental data analysis.
- Assist teachers in improving instruction based on data.
- Provide supplemental leadership in on-going student assessment.
- Provide supplemental assistance with state testing.
- Work collaboratively to so that exemplary instruction is delivered to all students.
- Support the implementation of the District curriculum.
School/Organization Improvement/Climate
- Provide supplemental support to core trainings that are necessary for all teachers.
- Plan, facilitate, present staff development programs relating to assessment issues.
- Assist in campus improvement planning process.
- Respond to staff requests for training.
- Attend and, if appropriate, facilitate content specific meetings.
- Provide supplemental support to At-Risk students by assisting teachers to implement appropriate strategies to meet student needs.
- Mentor teachers needing additional assistance with utilizing assessment data.
- Assist campus with any necessary compliance activities.
Professional Growth and Development
- Maintain active participation in associations at the state levels.
- Attend trainings and stay current on assessment issues.
- Attendance at work is an essential function.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or designee.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Experience
- Three years successful classroom experience
- Experience working at a secondary school campus to assist the principal, assistant principals, and counselors with various tasks related to assessment management in a secondary school preferred
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Proven leadership skills
- Demonstrates ability to handle school situations dealing with student academic needs
- Demonstrates ability to work with school staff, parents and students
