Position Title : Work Study Positions in Student Aid Posting Number : STU250 VP Area : Sr. Assoc Provost Area Division : Enrollment Management Division Department : Student Financial Aid Student Supervisor : Brooklynn Gau Work Study Required? : No Job Duties : About This Role : The Office of Student Aid assists all students, parents and employees of Lamar Universityby providing information in regard to their financial aid and funding their education. Our student team works to ensure our phones and emails are answered in a timely manner. We are looking to add many new team members that can contribute to a positive work environment with a smile on their face Position Responsibilities : General office assistance for the Office of Student Aid Greeting faculty, staff, students, and parents as they come into the office. Filing, scanning, uploading, and indexing documents. Retrieving office mail from post office, as well as dropping off office mail. Deliver documents to various on-campus locations. Answer phone calls and emails Other tasks as assigned. Minimum Qualifications : Minimum Qualifications Must be enrolled in at least 6 hours. Must be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress and maintain a 2.5 minimum GPA Must be available to work between the hours of 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday and possibly some weekends. Must have excellent communication skills. Strong customer service skills Strong attention to detail Familiarity of office equipment Physical Requirements : Physical Requirements Some lifting, stretching, bending, etc., may be required.
