Junior CAD Designer - Security Systems

We are seeking an Junior CAD Designer - Security Systems to prepare drawings of and documents related to low-voltage, integrated security systems using AutoCAD. This individual will take on the initial job responsibilities described below, with the opportunity for future role advancement and additional responsibility as the individual progresses.

Job Responsibilities:

• Utilize AutoCAD to prepare and clean up blueprints/ floor plans as provided by architect
• Generate simple 2-D drawings using AutoCAD to depict placement of security system devices onto floor plans, as designed by Project Managers
• Create submittal documents to highlight and demonstrate technical specifications of devices and products utilized for each project
• Submit technical drawings to various municipalities and follow up on submittal status

Additional Potential Responsibilities as Individual Progresses:

• Become well versed in typical security system components utilized by LaMarco Systems, as well as their associated configuration diagrams in local AutoCAD repository
• Execute complete AutoCAD drafting/design process for a Security System (including riser/single-line diagrams, device mounting/wiring diagrams, and wiring matrices)

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree/trade school education (or equivalent) related to CAD design/drafting, electronics technology, or architecture/construction OR Experience in AutoCAD drafting experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
