ABOUT THE ROLE :
This individual's primary focus is to contribute to revenue retention and growth of the organization's largest Non-Profit / Human Services accounts by deploying a Best-in-Class Service Offering. The Account Manager will accomplish this goal by developing a deep understanding of each client's operations, priorities, and risk management needs and coordinating an appropriate cross departmental service offering.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and retain a large book of business by providing high quality and timely customer service, a proactive renewal process, negotiating with carriers and underwriters, utilizing internal resources, and collaborating with other internal teams.
- Exposure analysis, coordination of coverage, program design, and evaluation of existing accounts to address and correct any deficiencies.
- Confidently & accurately answer client situational questions with respect to insurance coverage and advise about uncovered exposures as applicable.
- Analyze and prepare exposure comparisons, premium comparisons, and renewal proposals
- Communicate directly with clients, underwriters, departmental leaders, and other stakeholders
- Provide incumbent carriers and the placement team with detailed and comprehensive submissions
- Negotiate insurance plan terms and conditions
- Create and present customized renewal strategy and marketing plans
- Seek to increase book revenue by cross-selling and rounding accounts
- Assist to resolve premium audits in dispute
- Perform contract reviews as needed
- Learn, understand, and adhere to our internal timelines, protocols, and workflows.
- Utilize and direct assigned assistant account manager to perform day-to-day servicing tasks including issuance of certificates, auto id cards, processing of endorsement requests, policy checking, invoicing, and billing issues.
