Job Description Summary
Operate Pea Harvest equipment and/or tractor. The position is seasonal. Late May to mid-July
Job Description
- Operates harvesters, tractors and tractor-drawn machinery for all phases of harvesting operations.
- Fills out work sheets as needed.
- Cleans and maintains equipment per Lamb Weston Food Safety Policy
- Performs routine duties with minimal supervision.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to Supervisor and/or Human Resources
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/ Certifications: (Required & Preferred)
- Valid state issued Driver License
- Basic verbal communication skills
- No experience required.
- Some travel may be required (75% of time if significant)
- Incumbents may sit for long periods of time in a pea combine.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Stooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
- Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature.
- Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for job actions and procedures.
- Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
- Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties.Ability to operate work related equipment.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Valid Driver’s License and driving record that meets Lamb Weston Driving Standards
- Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders on a regular basis
