Based on market data and other factors, the annual salary range for this position is $185,000 - $350,000. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.

- Note: This position requires presence in our San Francisco office location 4 days per week; Lambda’s designated work from home day is currently Tuesday.
- Integrate storage systems (block, object, file storage) with monitoring and logging platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
- Collaborate with storage and software engineers to automate deployment and configuration of storage software.
- Develop and maintain custom dashboards, alerts, and metrics to proactively monitor storage performance, capacity, and failures.
- Automate Storage-related events and faults for automated ticketing and recovery.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines in Github or BuildKite for Storage components.
- Work with Storage Engineers, Fleet Orchestration, and Release Engineering to automate the deployment and configuration of Software Defined Storage.
- 8 years of experience in Linux or HPC Environments
- Proficient in Linux at an Advanced Level
- Worked with shared or parallel filesystem such as NFS, Ceph, or GPFS
- 5 years of experience in Monitoring and Logging, such as:
- Alertmanager, Grafana, Prometheus, DataDog or SumoLogic
- Built monitoring dashboards for multiple audiences
- Built and designed alert and pager routing
- 5 years of experience in Kubernetes:
- ArgoCD and other deployment technologies
- Helm or Kustomize
- Expert in Kubernetes troubleshooting
- 5 in the following technologies:
- CI/CD Technologies such as Jenkins, Github Actions, or BuildKite
- Docker/Podman and/or other Container Technology
- Systems programming in Python or Golang
- 5 years of experience in Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)
- 5 years of experience using Public Cloud infrastructure, such as AWS, Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure
- Understanding of Storage and Software defined Storage, such as Ceph, BeeGFS, Gluster, GFS, etc.
- Worked with, or wrote, Kubernetes CSI drivers
- Have worked in an HPC Environment
- Worked in, or with, SRIOV and Virtualization (KVM/Qemu)
- Experience in GPUDirect, RDMA, Infiband or ROCE Networking
