Summary Ensure that members receive the highest standard of service while visiting the restaurant and club. Manage the efficient and timely seating of our members to a table that best serves their wishes while providing a fair balance of tables for the servers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Warmly greet everyone who enters the restaurant area addressing them by name whenever possible.
- When immediate seating is limited, record member names and number of people in party and provide member with estimated waiting time.
- Call out name and number of party when tables become available.
- Accommodate special seating requests for members whenever possible.
- Seat member members based on member preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.
- Upon seating, offer members a menu and inform them of their server's name.
- Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.
- Relay messages to servers and bus persons as needed.
- Check reservations and take reservations over the phone and in person.
- Thank members as they leave and invite them to return.
- Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
- Such other tasks as required of management or leadership.
- Perform cleaning duties, such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpet, tidying up server station, taking out trash, or checking and cleaning bathroom.

Education and / or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years of related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software and POS system.
