Overview
Lambert & Associates is seeking a HYBRID Remote Accountant. Must be located in either North Carolina or South Carolina. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial statements, and providing financial advice to clients. This role also requires strong knowledge of accounting, finance, and other related systems. Enrolled Agent is a plus!
Contract (12 months)/1099/Corp to Corp, Hybrid role. Ability to travel and work at client site as needed. Must be able to travel within North Carolina at least 75% of the time. Expectation is Accountant will travel every other week to client sites in Winston Salem, Dobson and Boones Hill, NC areas and as needed spend up to 5 consecutive days at various client sites.
**No relocation assistance** Bilingual is a plus
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Enroll Agent is a plus
- You are passionate about helping clients navigate the complexities of taxation, and you're committed to empowering them to prepare their taxes.
- You possess excellent customer service skills, and you are excited to interact with customers through video and audio tools in a professional, friendly and confident manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software: Sage, Intuit Quickbooks Online
- Experience in small business accounting and taxation
- Experience in the Insurance Industry is preferred but not required
- Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
What You Will Do
- In this role, you will help our clients with the accounting needs of their business including manage financial statements, and provide financial advice to clients.
- You will utilize government websites, professional resources and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer to the client.
- This is a virtual and client facing role so you will need to use video communication to interact with clients, you will document interactions to maintain accurate records.
- Identify and communicate tax-related opportunities and exposures to clients
- Foster a culture of innovation and contribute to the adoption of firm initiatives
- Identify and participate in new business and cross-selling opportunities
- Successfully managing multiple engagements in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work extended hours during peak periods
