What you’ll do as a Power Foreman
- You will oversee lower classifications by coordinating and assigning tasks, monitoring work, training and mentoring.
- You will monitor safety and productivity of crewmembers.
- You will conduct safety tailgate meetings with crew and completing required paperwork.
- You will be responsible for construction, installation, maintenance and replacement of poles, anchors, crossarms, pins, cut-outs, and other Overhead pole components.
- You will be responsible for installation, maintenance and replacement of transformers, reclosers, capacitors, regulators, step-downs and other Overhead pole equipment.
- You will inspect lines, poles and equipment for signs of damage or wear.
- You will carry poles, dig holes, frame and guy poles and perform other operations involved in the setting or replacing of poles.
- You will troubleshoot electrical problems and perform emergency repairs on distribution circuits.
- You will set up and operate wire tensioners, rope rigs, and other wire stringing equipment.
- You will be responsible for efficient and proper use of all tools, materials, and equipment.
- You will operate, inspect, and maintain bucket trucks, digger derricks, excavation equipment, and other equipment.
- You will read and interpret site plans, construction drawings, schedules, and scopes of work.
What you’ll need
- You are18 years of age or older
- You are authorized to work in the United States for this company
- You have a valid driver's license with a minimum of 2 years driving experience
- You are authorized to work in the United States for this company
- You have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- You have the willingness to work in a solo and team environment
- You have experience in working through all types of weather, including inclement weather
- You are a self starter
- You have effective communication skills
- You are able to travel and work extended hours; overtime and weekends as needed
- You have 5 year's of experience in power construction
- You have the ability to lift and/or pull up to 25lbs
