Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Remote Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our remote health and safety program.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and facilitate the development and implementation of our remote health and safety program
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, investigations, and compliance activities
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
- Evaluate and improve existing safety protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies to reduce workplace injuries and illnesses
- Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry organizations
Requirements
- A thorough knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations is required
- Strong documentation skills and proven analytical and problem-solving abilities in a changing environment are essential
- Experience providing safety training and implementing safety initiatives is necessary
- Demonstrated experience presenting training material and leading project groups, including employees of all levels, vendors, and customers, is required
- The ability to prioritize workload, handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work self-directed with a sense of urgency is crucial
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills are necessary
- Proficiency with PC skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) is required
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour Certificates are preferred
- A valid Driver's License is mandatory
