Shipping Clerk

Lambert Vet Supply is looking for reliable individuals to positively impact our team and take pride in serving our customers. You will directly contribute to the selection of materials, safe packaging, and monitoring of customer product leaving the company warehouse.

Working Hours (Part Time hours available as well)
Monday 6:30am-4pm
Tuesday-Friday 7am-4pm

Job Summary:

The Shipping Clerk will pick, pack and finalize orders to be shipped out of the warehouse.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Receives orders from the order desk and retrieves goods from warehouse using WMS System.

· Delivers materials to packing desk for packing.

· Uses a hand truck or pallet jack to pull orders when needed.

· Checks packing list for accuracy and inspects collected goods.

· Securely packages product for shipment and delivers finalized packages to shipping staging area.

· Follows safety rules for warehouse when picking an order.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Proficient with inventory control systems used to pick or pack orders

· Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

· Excellent time management skills.

· Ability to operate various types of materials handling equipment including hand trucks and pallet jacks when needed.

· Strong reading and communication skills.

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to complete gross motor skill activities in the warehouse that may require hours of lifting, walking, standing, and carrying.

· Must be able to complete fine motor skill activities in the warehouse including the use of handheld electronics, grasping totes and objects, using a box opener, tape gun and affixing labels.

· Must be able to move up to 40 pounds at a time intermittently.

· Must have good hand/eye coordination
