This is a hybrid role which will combine site presence in client projects with some remote working.

You will be one of the early joiners in our USA operation. You will support us to get set up. You will be a senior leader and key contributor in our team pushing the discipline to new heights not only within Laminar but within the industry in general.

The Role

You will be one of the early joiners in our USA operation. You will support us to get set up. You will be a senior leader and key contributor in our team pushing the discipline to new heights not only within Laminar but within the industry in general.

This role is part of our Project Management Consultancy which focuses on:
- Understanding what the real problems of projects are.
- Implementing the best solutions to those problems.
- Developing scalable best practices, tools and technology.
Your top 3 objectives
- To make construction projects deliver to near perfection
- To create scalable and repeatable solutions to common problems
- To develop yourself and everyone around you
- Own the schedule: Own the project schedule for one or more projects and ensure that the project is working to it effectively. Ensure delays are mitigated and managed commercially.
- Own the outcome: You may not be the project manager ultimately responsible for the results but you are sure as heck responsible for putting in your best effort to ensure the project’s understanding and focus on the schedule no matter how stubborn they are!
- Report and inform: Provide simple actionable reports to stakeholders at all levels that help them deliver their part of the project more efficiently and effectively.
- Make scalable solutions : Develop scalable and repeatable best practices and tools in collaboration with the team so that long-term impact is achieved.
- Develop everyone: Maximise the development of your team personally and professionally and educate our clients to improve as well.
- Bonus: Take leadership in establishing our growth in the USA.
Must-Have :
- Mastery: Solid construction project scheduling and controls capability that take into account strategic objectives and the broad context you are operating in together with robust software-specific knowledge (eg. Primavera P6).
- Communication: The charisma, influence and presence to get construction people to do new things and take the best approach.
- Leadership: A proven leader/coach/developer of teams.
- Impact: A track record of implementing scalable and repeatable solutions in projects that had a significant positive impact.
- Mastery: Proficient specific software skills and a strong interest in data. Knowledge and experience in other fields beyond project controls.
- Communication: Master of effective communication from the site to the boardroom.
- Leadership: A proven leader/coach/developer of teams of teams.
- Impact: Impacts that have gone beyond your project and improved organisations as a whole in a way that has spread to others.
