Immediate Opening Available for an Assistant Manager at Lammar Marie’s Gourmet Popcorn:

Lammar Marie's Gourmet Popcorn, a veteran-owned, gourmet popcorn business, is seeking a highly detail-oriented Assistant General Manager to oversee daily operations and uphold excellence in every aspect of our business. This is NOT a position for someone who wants to "coast" or just "supervise." We need a leader who sees what needs to be done, takes initiative, and ensures it happens correctly the first time while respecting and operating within the established chain of command.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the store and production.
• Oversee and actively participate in work—this is a hands-on role.
• Identify and correct overlooked details in customer hospitality, product quality, and store presentation.
• Provide clear direction and accountability to team members.
• Communicate effectively with management and staff to ensure business goals are met.
• Attend up to 3 networking events per month to represent Lammar Marie's Gourmet Popcorn
• Follow and enforce company policies, ensuring all safety and operational standards are upheld.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail sales and team management
• Strong inventory management and control skills
• Proficiency in using POS systems and cash registers
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Experience supervising staff

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• 1 years of experience in supervising, management, or leadership
• Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Short Pump, VA 23233
• Availability to work weekdays and rotating weekends
• Must be comfortable in a structured, process-driven work environment

Qualifications:

Requires a minimum of a High School Diploma and one years retail experience and one year supervisory experience, with the ability to give and take direction as a participant in a team environment.

Prior experience demonstrating outgoing, friendly, positive interpersonal communication skills and behavior with customers and team members.

The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and provide quick conflict resolution for team members and customers.

A clean driving record for periodic operation of the company vehicle.

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of essential supplies, without assistance.

Formal training and a strong understanding of business management and leadership principles is a plus.
