Job Summary
Assists with sourcing candidates, reviewing resumes, conducting screening interviews, and evaluates prospective talent for full time and temporary positions.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Assists with prescreening potential candidates.
Manages multiple requisitions simultaneously.
Completes data entry, filing, & record management of potential candidates.
Communicates with hiring managers on status of requisitions.
Builds a working relationship with hiring managers and candidates.
Assists with recruiting needs for the Houston production team as they align with Lamons policies and contract with the United Steel Workers (USW) union.
Assist with recruiting needs of temporary employment in domestic locations and Canada.
Manages the complete recruiting cycle of all temporary employees.
Works with hiring managers on confirming headcount for their department and obtaining additional approvals when necessary.
Assists with translating when needed.
Maintains an accurate tracking system for all open positions.
Reviews and updates job descriptions and job specifications.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and recommended best practices.
Manages the conversion process of temporary to permanent employment status.
Assists HR team members with various employee engagement projects.
Works closely with the company recruiter.
Performs other duties as assigned

Skills
Ability to manage a high volume of calls from/to qualified candidates.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong public speaking and group facilitation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
Ability to quickly learn Human Resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
Bilingual (Spanish or Vietnamese Speaking) required.
Education
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Bachelors degree in Business, Human Resources, or related degree.
Work Experience
Preferred: 1 year experience in a similar role, while working in a manufacturing setting.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
