Preschool Teacher

Lamorinda Montessori is now hiring a dynamic and experienced Preschool Teacher for our Immediate Opening in our new facility in Moraga, CA.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for children, the ability to communicate with children and families, a commitment to professional growth, and a drive to make a positive difference in the lives of children.

Qualifications:

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities to support early learning and sensory exploration.
  • Maintain a consistent schedule for feeding, diapering, napping, and playtime while providing individualized attention and care.
  • Foster positive and responsive relationships with infants, meeting their emotional needs and ensuring their well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, keeping them informed about their child's daily activities, progress, and milestones.
  • Conduct regular assessments to track infants' developmental progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with parents and colleagues to establish a partnership in the care and education of infants.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including sanitizing toys, equipment, and changing areas.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 12 units in Early Childhood Education with a focus on infants/toddlers.
  • Previous experience working with infants in a preschool or childcare setting.
  • Knowledge of infant development, caregiving routines, and appropriate stimulation activities.
  • Ability to create a nurturing and engaging environment for infants.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with parents, colleagues, and infants.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with infants.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
