Lamplight Farms, home of TIKI® Brand Products, is looking for a first shift Inventory Control Specialist. In this role you will be responsible for the facilitation of the flow of raw materials, finished goods and associated paperwork through production, receiving, and distribution areas. Compile information from all storage bin locations, maintain a timely and accurate account of inventory balances by performing and/or verifying necessary completion of data entry, monitoring item booking, and transferring material within computer systems. Monitor and resolve inventory status, storage bin location information, and purchase/manufacturing/transfer/outbound orders through consultation and direction with the Inventory Control Supervisor.
This is a FULL-TIME Hourly position (40 hours per week) with the ability to work OVERTIME as needed. Full Benefit Package, including Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, and generous 401K!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor, facilitate and reconcile raw material and finished goods inventories to ensure timely and accurate inventory records, balances and costs are maintained throughout the company.
- Monitor routine cycle and activity counts of raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and related record keeping compliant with requirements. Advise Inventory Control Supervisor of daily and weekly count progress.
- Perform Confirmation Counts for storage bin locations with large cycle count variances.
- Count and correct item variances daily as requested by other departments.
- Adjust scrap daily per production scrap sheets.
- Run, monitor, and investigate items on Negative Balances report daily.
- Monitor and resolve inventory status, storage bin location information, and purchase/manufacturing/transfer/outbound orders through consultation and direction with the Inventory Control Supervisor.
- Perform other data entry and data review of material transactions as requested/required.
- Correct frozen balances and maintain customer holds as needed.
- Complete reports, inventory records and other administrative tasks for computer aided and manual systems.
- Using defined procedures, regularly or on demand, execute variance reports, and assist in resolving discrepancies.
- Run End of Month Cycle Count and Variance reports at month end and e-mail to required distribution list.
- Notify team members, department managers, and the Inventory Control Supervisor of procedural deviations. Follow-up on corrective action requirements.
- Under supervisor’s direction, support annual physical inventory process.
- Participate in company projects as assigned.
- Perform all other duties as assigned, including duties and support in other departments as directed.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or completion of GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year working in a manufacturing environment, preferably involving inventory responsibilities.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing ERP systems or distribution WMS and general Inventory principles.
- Excellent math skills and ability to accurately apply basic counts.
- Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work effectively with multiple interruptions.
- Good PC and data entry skills with high attention to accuracy.
- Material handling equipment experience helpful.
