LAN Associates, Engineering Planning, Architecture Surveying, Inc., (“LAN”) is excited to be expanding our team! We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Landscape Architect to join our dynamic team in Midland Park, NJ. We’re looking for a Licensed Landscape Architect with experience in the A/E industry. This position is an opportunity to apply your knowledge and advance your career, while working with a project team in a strong, mid-sized architecture and engineering design firm. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainable design and a strong understanding of landscape architecture principles. This role involves collaborating with clients and stakeholders to develop innovative outdoor spaces that enhance the environment while meeting aesthetic and functional needs. The candidate will work closely with our staff to establish project requirements, manage project budgets, and meet deliverable milestones.

LAN employs over 130 architects, engineers, surveyors, environmental professionals, construction professionals and support staff in three states. The firm has almost 60 years of experience in the planning, engineering, and construction of a wide range of projects. Minimum Qualification Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Landsape Architecture or related field.

· Professional license as a Landscape Architect.

· Minimum of 5 years experience in the A/E industry.

· Proficiency in design software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.

· Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of successful projects.

· Experience with sustainable design practices and/or LEED certification.

· Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, and work with multiple teams, simultaneously.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proactive approach to problem solving.

· Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, while meeting tight deadlines.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Conduct site assessments and analysis to determine project feasibility.

· Develop landscape plans, planting plans, and hardscape design.

· Draft construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates for landscape projects.

· Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to integrate landscape designs into overall project plans, and ensure designs meet their needs and requirements.

· Oversee the implementation of landscape designs, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards.

· Provide guidance on hardscape elements such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls.

· Develop maintenance plans for landscapes to ensure long-term sustainability and health of plant materials.

· Maintain project records, including contracts, invoices, and project schedules.

· Assist with proposals, marketing, project reports, and technical presentations.

· Perform a variety of other tasks associated with field activities and office needs.

The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $115,000 annually.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
