Part-Time Project-Based Accountant

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Project-Based Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant accounting, a minimum of five years of relevant experience, and expertise in gift card reconciliation and the R365 platform. This role will involve supporting financial projects, reconciliations, and other accounting tasks critical to our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform account reconciliations with a focus on gift card liabilities, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.
• Utilize the R365 platform to manage, analyze, and report financial data, including creating customized reports as needed.
• Assist in period-end, including journal entries and account adjustments.
• Collaborate with accounting team to complete project-based assignments.
• Maintain accurate documentation and provide insights to streamline accounting processes.
• Prepare reports for management review and assist with accounting tasks.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the restaurant industry.
• Proficiency in gift card reconciliation and understanding of associated accounting practices.
• Advanced knowledge of the R365 platform, including data entry, reporting, and reconciliation functions.
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required with significant relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently on project-based tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members.

Work Schedule & Commitment:

• Part-time, project-based hours with flexibility.
• Estimated 15-20 hours per week, with the potential for full-time down the line.
