Job Title: Special Education Supervisor
Location: Lancaster High School

Qualifications (Preferred Skills): Must be Certified and Highly Qualified
1. Master’s degree (M.A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience
2. Appropriate state of Ohio license – Administrative License
3. Alternative to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find
appropriate
4. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
5. Knowledge and/or training in the area of special education
6. Knowledge of IDEA requirements, and Section 504.
7. Knowledge of public school law, policies, and practices
8. Knowledge of the development of functional behavioral assessments and behavior plans.
9. Knowledge of intervention strategies and multiple intelligence
10. Ability to work effectively with others
11. Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and in writing
12. Effective, active listening skills
13. Organizational and problem solving skills
14. Knowledge of curriculum/instruction and developmentally appropriate practice
