Certified Exempt Vacancy for the 2025-2026 School Year :
Job Title: Special Education Supervisor
Location: Mt. Pleasant Elementary
Qualifications (Preferred Skills): Must be Certified and Highly Qualified
1. Master’s degree (M.A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience
2. Appropriate state of Ohio license – Administrative License
3. Alternative to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find
appropriate
4. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
? Knowledge and/or training in the area of special education
? Knowledge of IDEA requirements, and Section 504.
? Knowledge of public school law, policies, and practices
? Knowledge of the development of functional behavioral assessments and behavior plans.
? Knowledge of intervention strategies and multiple intelligence
? Ability to work effectively with others
? Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and in writing
? Effective, active listening skills
? Organizational and problem solving skills
? Knowledge of curriculum/instruction and developmentally appropriate practice
