Founded in 1900, the Lancaster Country Club is a highly ranked Platinum Club of America and is one of the finest private clubs in all of Pennsylvania. Facilities include an 18-hole championship golf course, 9-hole golf course, 9 tennis courts, 3 platform tennis courts, aquatic, and fitness facilities, along with two separate dining establishments located in both our Clubhouse and Activities Pavilion. LCC was recently the host of the 2024 U.S. Women's Open Championship, which was incredibly successful and brought tremendous accolades to the club. The club has become more family-oriented, featuring events and amenities for every demographic while focusing on ever increasing programs for youth, including a summer camp, swim team, youth social events as well as extensive junior golf and tennis programs
POSITION PROFILE:
Lancaster Country Club is seeking a full-time, year-round, Banquet Chef to join our culinary team. The Banquet Chef is responsible for overseeing the proper preparation and execution of food items required for all banquet events, including breakfasts, luncheons, dinners, and special parties. They could range from a 4-person breakfast meeting to a 250-person wedding, and beyond.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY:
- Oversees the banquet team and all food preparation for events.
- Training of staff and holding the team accountable.
- Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
- Completing all banquet prep work.
- Cooking items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
- Clean up the station and take care of leftover food/supplies.
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and a timely manner.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Work closely and communicate with Food & Beverage Managers for proper food service.
- Makes sure all items are wrapped, dated, labeled and stored properly.
- Carves food or performs other duties on buffet line.
- Sets-up plating line for banquets and assists with plating duties.
- Attends and participates in weekly BEO meetings.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- A Culinary Arts degree is preferred.
- Previous experience with banquets and/or catering is required.
- Hands-on experience with professional kitchen equipment.
- Must have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of health and safety rules in a kitchen.
- Always maintain a positive and professional attitude.
- General standing, walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling movements are required.
- Must be comfortable with warm temperatures and loud noises.
- Must have the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must be available for day shift, evenings, weekends and holidays.
SALARY INFORMATION:
Salary will be dependent on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $68,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
