What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Delivery Driver (Part-time) position at Lancaster County Motors?
The Parts Driver is responsible for verifying, loading, and delivering parts to customers in the general prescribed market area. He or she transports products from our various Dealerships on the Manheim Pike and delivers them to Body and Repair Shops in Lancaster County and surrounding areas.
Job Duties Include:
- Loads and unloads parts in delivery vehicle.
- Delivers & picks up parts within a few hours of our Dealerships. Distribute /pick up, parts orders, to/for, our customers, vendors, and other auto dealerships.
- Adheres to daily delivery schedules.
- Assists in checking in parts to be delivered to customers.
- Assists in stocking shelves in parts storerooms.
- Assists in inventory maintenance.
- Requires a driver who is courteous, has good driving skills, accurate knowledge of delivery area and good communication skills.
- Displays positive dealership image, demonstrate professional personal behavior; and interact with customers and fellow employees in a positive manner.
- Maintains a clean and well run van or other vehicle by scheduling maintenance and washing, on a regular schedule.
- Maintains good driving record.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of computers and Microsoft software products.
- Knowledge of basic math.
- Knowledge and the ability to utilize good listening skills and comprehend verbal instructions given in English.
- Ability to collect payment of COD orders, money handling or checks, and forward payments to respective dealership cashier.
- Ability to drive large cargo vans, crew vans and mid-size vans.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to take initiative and follow directions.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English.
- Ability to write legibly in English in a clear, concise, and logical manner.
- Ability to speak clearly and express self effectively in English
- Ability to determine the skills required to perform a variety of jobs.
- Ability to organize, establish priorities, multitask, work with minimal supervision and meet delivery deadlines.
- Ability to identify, resolve, and/or notify supervisor of delivery problems.
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
- Must pass pre-employment background/MVR check and drug screening
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Hours: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:00AM to 4:00PM . Must be able to work past 4:00PM if large volume of deliveries occurs on a given day
