Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
Advanced professional accounting work related to classifying, analyzing and reporting financial data, transactions,
and documents to control and maintain agency program funds and budgets.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
This position reports to the agency executive director and is responsible for supervising the agency's fiscal unit consisting of an accountant and fiscal technician. Â Daily oversight and direction of staff occurs to ensure duties are carried out appropriately, effectively and efficiently.Â
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintains accounting records for all federal, state, and local funds allocated to agency. Generates the County Budget (FY Jan.-Dec.) and compiles the State Line Item Budget (FY July-June) for submission. Creates and maintains mapping codes for fiscal activity upload to state AccuFund financial reporting system. Verifies financial reports in AccuFund for accuracy and make adjusting entries as needed for the reports to be submitted to the state on a monthly and quarterly basis. 35%   Â
- Oversees all expenditure and revenue control accounts including PDA billing and service deliveries for CSP and medical supplies. 20%
- Ensures compliance with related federal, state, and local mandates and regulations. 20%
- Serves as fiscal advisor to Executive Director and other key administrative and management staff. Serves as the agency liaison to Human Resources and assists with processing all new hires, separations, and position changes. 15%
- Supervises fiscal unit consisting of an accountant and fiscal technician. 10%
OTHER SPECIFIC TASKS OR DUTIES
Participates in regular staff and supervisory meetings, and performs other fiscal-related projects as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSÂ
- Two (2) years professional accounting experience, and graduation from a four-year college or university including or supplemented by 15 credits in accounting.

- Four years of bookkeeping experience and 18 college credits in accounting can be substituted for college graduation.

- Any equivalent combination of experience and training
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Proficiency in working with Excel spreadsheets is required.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/CLEARANCES
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening test.
- Must pass criminal background checks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily sedentary in nature, no special demands are required.
