What are the responsibilities and job description for the Web Content Development/Social Media/Marketing Specialist position at Lancaster Design & Consulting?
Our small, family owned business of over 15 years is growing and is looking for someone to grow with us.
Job responsibilities include:
- Creating client web sites using AWS servers and Wordpress
- Content development, interviewing, and copywriting for web sites and e-blasts
- Social media content development, posting, monitoring, and as scheduling/management
We are a small but robust design and data management firm who helps 35 to 40 small businesses per month with much more than pure design work (and we really enjoy it!). We are looking for one more person to complete our team who would enjoy the nice mix of clients we serve in manufacturing, retail, service, and non-profit.
Some work can be done remotely (after training) but parts of the team frequently work together in Lancaster county (East Hempfield).
This role is expected to be a minimum of 20 hours a week, but could easily expand up to 40 hours for someone with the right skills and initiative.
This is a long term contract position which is paid hourly and does not provide benefits.
Requirements:
- Great communication skills (verbal and written)
- Attention to detail, accuracy, completeness of communication
- Strong work ethic, honesty, integrity
- Professional attitude, commitment, as well as genuine interest in helping small business owners focus their time and energy on what they love and are good at by taking certain tasks and projects and filling in gaps that they can't hire a full-time employee to perform.
- Must have your own laptop
- Must be local to Lancaster, PA
- Must be good at keeping projects moving, not afraid to be on the phone, and good at breaking large, abstract projects into bite-size chunks for yourself and other team members
- Excel/Google Sheets, Wordpress, and Adobe Suite experience a plus
- Photography experience a plus, but not required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
