Job summary
JobSummary :
Thepost holder will work under the direct supervision of the pharmacist, providingan efficient dispensary service for the customers of Galgate Pharmacy inaccordance with its policies and procedures. They will also provide advice topatients on the use of medicines as well as on general health and lifestylematters. The post holder will hold a minimum of a Level 2 PharmacyQualification.
Main duties of the job
To select, label and dispensecorrect items in accordance with the standard operating procedures to ensurethe safe supply of medicine to patients
To dispense controlled drugs inaccordance with standard operating procedures to ensure legal compliance.
To ensure at the point of sale,the safe and correct supply of dispensed items to patients
To collect all due prescriptioncharges and ensure the FP10 patient declaration is completed and signed by thepatient.
To create and update patient medicationrecords in accordance with data protection principles to ensure patientconfidentiality.
To operate efficient stockmanagement appropriate to the needs of the Pharmacy, with the objective ofensuring appropriate levels of merchandising and minimising wastage.
To ensure that drugs are stored inan appropriate manner in accordance with the accompanying instructions.
To assist with the preparation ofmonitored dosage systems
Ensure confidentiality ofcommercial and clinical information, which may relate to customers, staff, companypolicies, business information and take account of requirements of the GeneralData Protection Regulations, and Freedom of Information legislation.
Adhere to all SOPs Cold ChainPolicy.
To maintain full and accuraterecords of all dispensing transactions, ensuring all logs are maintained asrequired.
To work as part of a team todeliver an excellent service to all Galgate Pharmacy patients
