Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with a passion for education and a commitment to developing future healthcare professionals? Live Well invites you to join our team as an Instructor in our Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP).
About the Role
As an instructor, you will play a key role in shaping the future of nursing assistants by delivering comprehensive instruction, fostering student success, and upholding the highest standards of education and professionalism. This position reports to the Program Administrator and contributes to the mission of the Live Well Centers by providing top-quality training and mentorship to our students.
We offer flexibility to meet your needs as this is a growing program. Currently we have 1 Fulltime, day class, with plans to expand with a full time, evening class, in February or March.
What You’ll Do
Instruction & Teaching
Deliver engaging and effective instruction based on the NATCEP curriculum.
Address all aspects of resident care, including psychosocial, behavioral, cognitive, and physical needs.
Maintain required program hours and ensure students receive the full educational experience.
Compliance & Program Support
Complete the Teaching-The-Educator workshop before starting instruction.
Obtain Department of Education approval to teach Nurse Aides.
Ensure all teaching complies with state and federal regulations.
Administrative Responsibilities
Manage and document teaching performance and evaluations.
Schedule students for state competency exams and maintain organized records.
Participate in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to enhance program delivery.
Student & Program Support
Serve as the primary point of contact for student grievances, offering guidance and resolution.
Assist the Program Administrator with administrative tasks and program enhancements.
What You Bring to the Team
Qualifications & Experience
A current, unrestricted PA RN or LPN license with at least 2 years of nursing experience.
At least 1 year (12 months) of experience in a long-term care facility, providing direct care, supervision, or education to residents (facility name and address required on resume).
Training & Certifications
Completion of the Teaching-The-Educator workshop prior to instruction.
- WILL PAY TO GET YOU CERTIFIED
Approval from the Department of Education before teaching begins.
Background & Health Requirements
A clean Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) report.
Current negative results for TB screening via 2-Step Mantoux, chest x-ray, or QuantiFERON TB Gold test.
