What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Driver position at Lancaster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center?
The Lancaster Nursing & Rehabilitation team is looking for a dedicated individual to fulfill our open position for a Transportation Driver in our Nursing Administration Department!
Available shifts:
- Part-time person for M-W-F 4:30 to 12:00 (22.5 hours a week)
Full-time person for T-R-Sat 5:00-17:00.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Drive the company vehicle to and from doctors' appointments, hospitals, or community events with residents
- Keeps the inside and outside of the vehicle clean at all times
- Work with the maintenance department in keeping the vehicles in working condition and inspected
- Ability to manage time and keep on schedule
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of an accredited high school or GED
- Valid, unencumbered state driver’s license with a clean record for at least 2 years
- Ability to drive a van and to manipulate the van in limited areas (ex: alleys and to the back doors of physician's offices, backing into a designated area at physician's office)
- Must be in good physical and mental health and be able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to work independently or as part of a group
- Effectively communicates with others.
QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE:
- 1-2 years of transportation experience preferred
- Previous long-term care experience is desirable
- Experience transporting and transferring residents or patients with physical impairments using facility equipment.
