Beer Garden Attendant Job description
Position Summary:
The Lancaster Beer Garden attendant is responsible for checking ID’s and collecting emails for patrons obtaining a wristband for alcohol. The position will also assist in set up and tear down of the beer garden and will serve as a direct contact to the Recreation Specialist.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Serve as point of contact to the Recreation Specialist
· Check ID’s and verify age of patrons consuming alcohol
· Enter emails of all adult patrons even if they are not consuming alcohol.
· Assist in set up and tear down of furniture, lighting and other beer garden equipment
· Provide reasonable support to alcohol and food vendors
· Maintain a presence at check in and be available to answer questions
· Sell Lancaster Beer Garden merchandise
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Ability to work evenings, weekends and 10 hour days.
· Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with a variety of people.
· Ability to communicate effectively
· Able to lift up to 50 pounds or heaver lifting with other employees.
· Able to work outside in all climate and temperature.
· Demonstrate honesty and integrity.
· Represent the Lancaster Recreation Commission in a professional manner.
· Basic tech skills with the ability to operate IPAD
Education and Experience Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Customer Service experience preferred
Hours and Place of Work:
This is a part time seasonal position with a schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary. Organization offices are at the Lancaster Recreation Center, 525 Fairview Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17603.

Weekdays: 4pm-10pm
Weekends: 1pm-10pm
