Job Responsibilities:
- Under the guidance of a supervising PT, acquire pertinent information and implement comprehensive programs using varied techniques and treatment activities
- Review and modify treatment in response to changing patient needs
- Identify equipment and discharge needs
- Assist patients in preparation for treatment/modality as necessary
- Provide treatment to diverse diagnostic populations and complete supporting documentation according to hospital policy and State Practice Act
- Communicate and collaborate with support personnel regarding treatment orders as directed by the supervising PT
- Apply physical agents, therapeutic exercises, or gait-training activities as outlined by the licensed PT in the patient's plan of care
- Progress patients in an appropriate manner when deemed necessary by the PT
Qualifications:
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Previous experience in patient care preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification
