Job Purpose

Hybrid role of maintenance planning and MRO coordinating. This role is responsible for scheduling all maintenance activities to ensure optimal productivity and quality of work performed by maintenance personnel. This role will also be responsible for the management of the MRO inventory, including in-direct operating supplies

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Maintenance Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure the efficient operation of all facilities and equipment. This role requires a strong background in maintenance management, electrical systems, and mechanical knowledge. The Maintenance Planner will work closely with maintenance teams to optimize performance and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing, implementing, and managing preventative maintenance plans for production equipment and the building and grounds.
• Utilize the CMMS to review all work performed to create and plan corrective work.
• Support the coordination of all maintenance activities between quality, operations and scheduling departments.
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance supervisor and technicians to create robust job plans.
• Partner with the maintenance supervisor and technicians to optimize existing preventative maintenance procedures.
• Facilitate RCCA discussions to optimize operational efficiency due to equipment failures.
• Identify required spare parts for MRO activities, and ensuring adequate stock exists.
• Create and manage equipment BOM’s.
• Order MRO parts to fulfill minimum levels.
• Consolidate MRO parts to standardize and reduce variations.
• Responsible for the purchasing of in-direct operational and administrative supplies.
• Support the coordination of contractors.
• Other duties as required.

Skills

• Experience with MaintainX or other CMMS required.
• Understanding of MRO inventory management.
• Technical (mechanical and electrical) minded person with hands-on experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Qualification

Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a food manufacturing setting.

Education Preferred: Technical degree or college degree in applicable field, but not required. Hands on experience in manufacturing maintenance.
