Summary
Responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to fabricate and produce metal parts according to precise specifications.
Essential Functions
- Set up press brake machines by installing and aligning tooling, adjusting machine settings, and programming controls according to job specifications.
- Operate press brake machinery to bend, form, and shape metal parts based on blueprints, work orders, or CAD drawings.
- Monitor machine operations, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and precision.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical or operational issues that arise during production.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating press brake machinery.
- Assist with training new operators or cross-training team members as needed.
- Provide input on process improvements and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Operates additional machine shop equipment to prepare and perform secondary operations on parts before and after CNC operation
- Other duties and assignments as needed and directed by Group Leader / Supervisor or Department Manager

Education and Experience
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The employee is exposed to outside weather conditions at the manufacturing site. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing for up to 8 hours, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and move items up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
