Certified Lifeguard

Job Summary
As a Lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all guests at our aquatic facility. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor pool activities, enforce safety rules, and provide immediate assistance in emergencies. This position requires vigilance, strong swimming skills, and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations.

Duties

• Monitor pool areas to ensure the safety of all patrons and prevent accidents.
• Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe environment.
• Perform rescues and administer first aid or CPR as needed.
• Conduct regular inspections of the pool area for cleanliness and safety hazards.
• Assist with pool cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal water quality.
• Provide excellent guest services by answering questions and addressing concerns.
• Participate in training sessions and drills to maintain skills and certifications.

Skills

• Proficient swimming abilities with a strong understanding of water safety.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; Lifeguard certification is preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for maintenance tasks.
• Strong guest service skills to create a welcoming environment for patrons.
• Knowledge of pool cleaning techniques and maintenance procedures is advantageous.
• Excellent observation skills with the ability to remain alert at all times.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $12.50 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• After school
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Morning shift
• Weekends as needed

License/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Required)

Ability to Commute:

• Vinton, VA 24179 (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Vinton, VA 24179: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
