Brief Description : The Social Worker, under the supervision of the Administrator, provides clerical, secretarial, and receptionist support. This set up more on case management versus clinical work.
They also perform other diverse duties as requested or required.
Responsibilities :
- Schedule, receive, and direct patients and visitors.
- Provide general secretarial support, schedule appointments, and coordinate services.
- Screen and refer incoming phone calls and visitors.
- Maintain appropriate records and office supplies.
- Demonstrate regard for the dignity and respect of all clients, family members, medical staff, visitors, and personnel.
- Maintain proper attendance and punctuality.
- Answer the telephone in a courteous, helpful manner.
- Assist in pulling and copying medical records, ensuring confidentiality.
- Attend staff meetings as required.
- Supervise other social workers or individuals training to be social workers as needed.
- Interact with fellow employees to promote a harmonious and cooperative working environment.
- Maintain confidentiality of all current and former members / charts.
- Commit to cooperative performance to attain care, organization, and programmatic objectives.
- Perform initial assessments and develop care plans based on clients' needs.
- Assist in the admission process, authorizations of new clients, and re-authorizations.
- Assist clients in applying for appropriate social services.
- Complete quarterly and annual reviews on clients.
- Develop support groups and educational programs for caregivers and clients.
- Modify work schedule as required by the office.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, some clerical experience in a medical setting, and basic proficiency in English, spelling, math, and computer skills.
