Job Title - Coding Reimbursement Specialist III
Location - 5025 Airport Center Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28208 (REMOTE)
Shift - 5x8 Days 8am-5pm
Job Duration - 26 Weeks
Pay - $40-$45/hr
Duties:
Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Coding Reimbursement III is to work with various departments within the Central Business Office to ensure appropriate reimbursement. They will also work ETM Specialty view requiring complex questions and research. Also will include completing special projects and reports while assisting PFS specialists, Patient Account Representatives and Patient Accounting management with various assistance on coding or reimbursement related issues. Analyst will also work with coding consultants and corporate compliance when required.
Essential Functions:
1. Answer various coding questions based on denials received at the CBO and work with training staff at CBO to educate staff accordingly.
2. Collect and analyze data for identification of reimbursement related problems (i.e. denials
trends), assessing cause and scope.
3. Research and problem solve questions/issues related to the coding of accounts to determine viability of collecting on claims.
4. Assist various CBO departments in the creation or appeal letters, as appropriate, and keep track of appeals to determine effectiveness.
5. Compile and report data on various coding related issues as they pertain by payer (to be shared with MHR_and Coding Support/Compliance as necessary)
6. Attend CBO departmental, payor and denial meetings as necessary.
7. Analyze significant Accounts Receivable trends and communicate the same to management.
8. Analyze denials received from third party payers, defining contributing factors and recommending process improvements to decrease denials and ensure ongoing quality is maintained.
9. Review of medical records for correct coding.

Experience with clinical practice in their medical specialty progressive experience as a physician leader or physician executive experience with training and educating clinical staff on EMR system use. clinical staff on EMR system use.
Education:
Education and Experience:
Associates degree and seven years of related experience required. CPC certification preferred. 2 -3 years in billing reimbursement and or patient accounting
