Job Description:
Duration: 9 months
Shift: 1st primary but must be willing to work 2nd shift sometimes (Flexible work hours)
Pay range: $45 - $50/hr. on W2
The person in this position will be responsible for:
• Electrical testing of complex RF and optical modules and circuit board assemblies in the Advanced Components Technologies lab.
• Setting-up RF/digital test/optical equipment and preforming electrical measurements both using custom test fixtures and a microscope and micromanipulators with RF probes to electrically test wire bond pads on circuit card assemblies.
• Compiling test data and collaborating with the engineering team on corrective action for ad normal test results.
Qualifications
• Associates degree in electronics or equivalent
• 5 years of experience in testing of RF components and RF circuit card assemblies.
• 5 years of experience setting up and operating RF and optical electrical test and measurement instrumentation.
• 3 years of experience in automated and manual RF probing of microelectronic components.
• Must be willing to work first or second shift
• Knowledge/experience in construction and assembly of RF, optical, and digital test fixtures.
• Able to present test results and communicate with test engineers and RF engineers.
Preferred Additional Skills:
• Ability to learn to program automated RF and digital test measurement systems.
• Good computer skills in use of Microsoft windows and office
• Good written and verbal skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment.
Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
Works from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. May work with complex machines or computer systems.
Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
