Work days/hours: M - F 8am - 5pm
Pay: $55 to $59/hr based on experience
Locals only. Onsite daily.
Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)
• Apply mechanical engineering theoretical principles and techniques to understand how products come together with the intent of improving equipment reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure alignment between product design and manufacturing
• Develop and implement theoretical models for tolerance stack-ups of assemblies
• Analyze and optimize assembly processes to maximize OEE
• Utilize CAD software (Solidworks) to design and simulate mechanical components and assemblies
• Communicate relevant project information effectively (verbal and written) including project status, technical concepts and design details, and functional demonstrations to key internal and external stakeholders of varying technical abilities.
Education and Experience:
• Degree in engineering (mechanical preferred) or related field is required. Minimum of 3 - 5 years of working experience in related field.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Required:
o Experience serving as an engineering lead to conceptualize, design, and develop medical devices that address clinical needs.
o Proficiency in CAD software (Solidworks)
• Ability to read and create detailed dimensioned drawings
• Ability to manipulate and understand complex product and equipment assemblies
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
o Experience with tolerance analysis and tolerance stack-up modeling
o Excellent communication and teamwork skills
o Proficiency in Office 365
o Strong knowledge of common manufacturing techniques and tools
o Experience leading and effectively collaborating with multidisciplinary teams with ability to adapt quickly to program changes.
o Strong oral and written communication skills
• Preferred skills:
o Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) modeling
o Ability to create Monte-Carlo simulations
o Strong background in statistics and six sigma methodology
