Title - QC Lab Analyst
Location: Savannah, GA 31408
Duration: 06 Months (with possible of extension).
2-3-2 shift rotation, 6:45 am to 7:00pm and 6:45pm to 7:00am. 36hr week then 48hr week rotations (OT)
SUMMARY
- Conducts analysis and experimentation on raw material, in-process and finished product, and wastewater samples to ensure quality specifications meet or exceed customer expectations
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operates and maintains various quality control instruments.
- Performs timely and accurate routine quality control analysis using established test methods.
- Approves/rejects materials based upon set specifications.
- Enters data into plant information system to allow generation of reports on plant operating conditions
- Maintains the laboratory according to 5S practices, good housekeeping and safety standards within the Chemical Hygiene Plan.
- Performs calibrations of equipment.
- Assists in troubleshooting problems with in-process materials, intermediates and finished products.
- May perform other related assignments as determined by supervision.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Education equivalent to: BS in Chemistry or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
- Minimum 6 months lab experience
- Job related work experience skills/knowledge requirements:
Describes ideal and preferable experience but not the number of years
- Self motivated individual with good time management skills
- Good IT literacy skills (Microsoft Office)
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communications skills.
