Title - Schools / Education

unit -Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

Shift - Day

hours - 7.5

Weekly - 37

Contract - 36 weeks with possible extension

Facility - Lompoc Unified School District

requirements - CA DHH Teacher - license and credential

Candidates must hold a valid CTC if applicable – please review the ESD Licensure Report prior to piping. For candidates without CTC, the client will determine if a TCC or waiver is needed and will facilitate process with candidates directly instead of ESD Licensing Specialist. Must be in-person with client to complete TCC / waiver and additional CTC fingerprints. Candidates will need a Cashier’s Check or Money Order for $100 made out to the CTC to convert their licenses or for waiver.

TCC :   Required for candidates with an OOS license / credentials. ETA is 1 day if candidates have all items required for TCC.

Waiver :  Required for candidates without any credentials. For candidates needing waivers, client requires Board approval. Board meetings occur every 2nd and last Tuesday of each month. All documentation required for approval must be submitted the Thursday prior to the meeting.

SLPs : Client will accept candidates that have completed their CF and are working towards their ASHA / CCCs.

School RN :   Must  hold a CTC and Audiometry Certificate.

Transcripts :  Official Transcripts required for ALL candidates that do not hold a CTC. Paraprofessionals with a foreign transcript have a Foreign Transcript Evaluation completed prior to pipe. ETA for completion varies depending on their transcript but can range from a week to months. Diplomas and unofficial transcripts will not be accepted.

Paraprofessionals :   Must have 48 hours of college credit. Candidates without 48 college credit hours pass the paraprofessional exam. Candidates that do not pass are immediate cancellations. Cost is $20 in cash.
