Job Title : Radiation Therapist
Location : Las Cruces, NM
Position Type : Full-Time
Salary : $70,000 - $93,000 per year
Signing Bonus : Yes (Relocation assistance up to $10k)
Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join our team in Las Cruces, NM. The ideal candidate will safely operate equipment delivering ionizing radiation to treat neoplastic diseases and other therapeutic purposes, in accordance with the prescription and guidance of the Radiation Oncologist. The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for performing high-quality radiation therapy, preparing treatment devices, conducting daily QA on equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation in the hospital’s EMR system.
Key Responsibilities :
- Safely administer radiation therapy per protocol, under the supervision of the Radiation Oncologist.
- Perform pretreatment preparations, including simulations and fabrication of treatment devices.
- Conduct daily quality assurance checks on linear accelerators and CT simulators.
- Document patient treatment and positioning, and communicate care coordination.
- Participate in on-call procedures as needed.
- Maintain a positive and compassionate experience for patients, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort.
- Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
