Job Description: The Systems Engineer IT performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Basic Qualifications : Active DoD Secret Clearance Linux Server Administration (RedHat and SLES) experience Windows Server and Desktop OS experience DoD IAT Level II certification (i.e. Sec Client) Knowledge and experience with scripting (Ex. Windows(PowerShell)/Linux(shell scripting) Prior experience in requirements and verification Ability to work third shift Desired skills : Knowledgeable in information systems networking Experience working with VMWare/ESXi, VSphere, and Hyper-V for automated configuration/updates Experience with Excel, Agile, Atlassian tool suite (JIRA/Confluence) and IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM). Application/Software: GIT, McAfee, Nexus, Ansible Experience in configurations mgmt. of packages and patches, version control and service packs Comments for Suppliers: **Do not submit anybody previously submitted to req 15578** Must have active secret clearance, minimum of interim clearance required This role will start on 1st shift but must have the ability to work 2nd shift as needed. The manager advised that this will likely happen around the year end push around November and December but could be other times.
