Validation Engineer

Location:- Austin,TX

Hourly Pay Rate Range - $45.00 to $55.00/HR (Depending on working experience)

Note:- This is not junior or Entry Level not a QA Valuation role candidate must have 4 years of industry experience as Validation Engineer

The Role:

The Client Server Hardware Team is seeking an experienced engineer to support our lab infrastructure which is required to enable silicon focused development and debug activity. You will work with our hardware team to define, plan, and execute our lab infrastructure plans. Additionally, you will also be responsible for assisting engineers with board reworks, debug, test, and support users of our designs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and execute functional and electrical test plans using hardware & software validation tools, oscilloscopes, & logic analyzers

• Document test plan results and generate timely results/reports

• Provide debug, applications support, and design assistance to engineers

• Provide hand-on technical assistance in the lab

• Provide board rework support

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A technology related diploma/degree and at least 7 years or equivalent combination of training and experience

• Experience maintaining server system hardware and installing/configuring server software in Linux/Windows environments

• Experience with engineering lab equipment, soldering irons, PCB hot air tools, oscilloscopes, signal generators, DC power supplies, etc.

• Experience reading and navigating platform schematics and layout documents

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong skills handling and debugging hardware are a must

• Knowledge of Python is a bonus

EDUCATION:

• Minimum Requirement: A 2-year degree in electronics or a related field

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree, but significant experience can compensate for the lack of a 4-year degree
