Responsibilities:
- Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, drawing specifications, and parts lists.
- Gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials needed to complete jobs.
- Position parts and subassemblies using templates or reading measurements.
- Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and understand bills of materials.
- Use correct hand tools and applicable equipment.
- Comfortable using heavy machinery or equipment, such as forklifts or overhead lifts.
- Apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions.
